The short version. We collect only what you choose to send us, such as your name, email address and message. We use it to answer you, run our programs and, if you subscribe, send our newsletter. We do not sell your information. We do not run advertising trackers on this website.
Who we are
Sarah's Spark Inc. ("Sarah's Spark," "we," "us") is a Las Vegas organization serving children ages 0 to 17 with essentials, mentorship and education outreach. This policy covers this website and the information you share with us through it.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, the reason you are writing, and your message.
- Newsletter: your email address.
- Donations: online donations will be handled by a third-party payment processor. When that is turned on, the processor collects your payment details and gives us your name, email, gift amount and receipt information. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic request data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of visit, to keep the site running and secure.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site. If that changes, we will update this policy first.
How we use it
- To reply to your message and follow up about volunteering, partnering, donating goods, or requesting help for a child.
- To send our newsletter to people who subscribed. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- To issue donation receipts and keep the records we are required to keep.
- To protect the website from spam and abuse.
Who handles it for us
We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf:
- Vercel hosts this website and the form handlers.
- Resend delivers form messages to our team and stores our newsletter list.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site, which means your browser requests them from Google.
- A payment processor will handle donations once online giving is available.
We share information with others only when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a child or another person.
Children and families
This website is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you are asking for help for a child, please do not put the child's full name or private details in the contact form. We will ask for what we need when we follow up with you directly. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep messages for as long as needed to respond and to run our programs. Newsletter addresses stay on our list until you unsubscribe. Donation records are kept for as long as tax and nonprofit record-keeping rules require.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting us.
- Ask us what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it.
To make a request, use the contact details below. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and we limit who on our team can see messages and the newsletter list. No website or email service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please keep sensitive details out of your messages.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
